Bluffton is a city in Harrison and Lancaster townships, Wells County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 9,897 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat of Wells County.

The district encompasses 24 contributing buildings in an exclusively residential section of Bluffton. It developed between about 1891 and 1915 and includes representative examples of Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture.

Wells County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Bluffton, Wells County, Indiana. It was designed by architect George W. Bunting and built in 1889. It is a two-story, Richardsonian Romanesque style sandstone building topped by a high hipped roof. It has a gable roofed wing and features a four-level corner clock tower and corner turret.
