Rubinstein

The Tolstoy House is a large and well-known apartment building in St. Petersburg, located at 15-17 Rubinstein Street and 54 Fontanka Embankment. The building was designed by Fyodor Lidval in National Romantic style.The building was constructed in 1910–1912 under the aegis of Major-General Count Mikhail Pavlovich Tolstoy, nephew of the 1812 war hero P.

The Leningrad Rock Club (Russian: Ленинградский рок-клуб) was a historic music venue of the 1980s in Leningrad, situated on Rubinstein Street in the city centre. Opened in 1981 and overseen by the KGB, it became the first legal rock music venue in Leningrad. Overall, it was the largest rock scene in the Soviet Union, which featured such bands as Televizor, Kino, Alisa, Aquarium, Zoopark, Piknik, Automatic Satisfiers, DDT, NEP, Grazhdanskaya Oborona (formally), and became an important influence on the Russian rock.

The Lensoviet Academic Theatre (in Russian: Санкт-Петербургский академический театр имении Ленсовета) is a troupe of actors and production management in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The resident company was founded as the Young Theatre in 1929, then renamed the New Theatre in 1933, and finally the Leningrad Soviet Theatre in 1939, and occupied the current location at 12 Vladimirski Prospekt in Saint Petersburg since 1945.

The avenue takes its name from the church.The current five-domed church was built next to Vladimirsky Market between 1761 and 1769.
