Eunoia Junior College (EJC) is a junior college in Singapore which offers Integrated Programme (IP) with Catholic High School, Singapore Chinese Girls' School and CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls' School. It is located in Bishan, within close proximity to Bright Hill MRT station and Bishan MRT station.

Methodist Girls' School (MGS) is a girls' independent school, consisting of two sections – the Primary School and Secondary School, located in Bukit Timah, Singapore. Bukit Timah railway station was a railway station (now a conserved recreational building) and crossing loop in Singapore, owned by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM), the main railway operator in Malaysia. It opened on the dismantled Tank Road mainline in 1903, was rebuilt on the current Singapore–Johor Bahru KTM Intercity mainline in 1932, until the Jurong Line shut down and it was a crossing loop station in the late 1940s until closure.

King Albert Park MRT station (DT6) is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Downtown Line in Bukit Timah, Singapore.Located at the western end of Bukit Timah Road at the junction of Blackmore Drive, this station serves the private residential estate along the Bukit Timah corridor. It is within walking distances to Ngee Ann Polytechnic, as well as the disused Bukit Timah railway station.

Buona Vista MRT station (EW21/CC22) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the East West line and Circle line in Queenstown, Singapore. This station is close to one-north, a high technology business park for the biomedical science, infocomm technology and media industries. It is located near the junction of North Buona Vista Road, Commonwealth Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue West.

Masjid Hang Jebat (Jawi: مسجد هڠ جيبت) is a mosque in Queenstown, Singapore. It is one of the few old-generation kampung mosques left in Singapore. The mosque was iconic for its close proximity to the former KTM railway tracks.

Commonwealth MRT station (EW20) is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East West line in Queenstown, Singapore located at Commonwealth Avenue near the junction of Commonwealth Drive. The station serves the residential neighbourhoods of Commonwealth and Tanglin Halt. The station is in the vicinity of schools such as New Town Primary School, CHIJ Kellock, Faith Methodist Church, and Queensway Secondary School.

Queensway Base is the headquarters that is home to the Special Operations Command (SOC), a front line department of the Singapore Police Force (SPF). It is situated directly across Queensway, and was formerly the Old Queenstown Police Station. Units such as Police Light Strike Force, Police KINS Training Camp, Police Tactical Unit, STAR (Special Tactics And Rescue) unit and some SOC units are located here.

Lee Kim Lai (1960 – 25 April 1978) was a police officer who was murdered on 25 April 1978 for his service revolver by three men. A serving Police National Serviceman, he was performing police sentry duty at the Police Reserve Unit 1 base of the Singapore Police Force at Mount Vernon when he was abducted from the front gate and forced into a taxi.
