CPR Aberdeen Yard is one of two CPR facilities in Hamilton. The yard is located in Kirkendall North, next to Chedoke Park and short distance from McMaster Children's Hospital Hamilton Health Sciences. The yard was formerly used by Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railway and once had a roundhouse.

Westcliffe Falls is a 15 metre complex ribbon cascade waterfall found in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This waterfall can be seen from Cliffview Park at the top of the stairs leading down to Chedoke Golf Course.Nearby attractions include the Bruce Trail, Dundas Valley Conservation Area, Iroquoia Heights Conservation Area, Chedoke Radial Trail and the Chedoke Golf Course.

The Origins Institute (OI) is an interdisciplinary science research institute at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. It began its operations as an institute on July 1, 2004. The OI's vision is to promote origins research that addresses fundamental, unresolved big questions in science, such as: "How did the universe begin?", "How did stars, galaxies and planets form?", "What is the origin of matter and of the elements?", "How did life begin on Earth, and can it also develop on other planets?", "What was the nature of the Universal Ancestor, and how did life evolve from it?", and "How did intelligent beings arise and evolve on Earth"?.
