Church is a large village in Hyndburn, Lancashire, England, situated a mile west of Accrington. The village has a population of 5,186 at the 2011 Census, an increase from 3,990 according to the 2001 census.

The station is 5 1⁄3 miles (8.6 km) east of Blackburn railway station, on the East Lancashire Line operated by Northern.Situated in the middle of Church's suburban streets, the station had fallen into disrepair, but was modernised in November 2005.

The A678 is a road in Lancashire, England, which runs between the towns of Blackburn and Padiham.The road was formerly the main route between Blackburn and Burnley before it was bypassed by the M65 motorway which opened in the 1980s. It currently runs between the A6078 Blackburn Town Centre Orbital Route and the A671 in Padiham, via the small towns of Rishton and Clayton-le-Moors, having been extended at the Blackburn end when the A677 was renumbered east of Blackburn.

The station was on a branch line, usually known as the Great Harwood loop, of the East Lancashire Line from Burnley to Blackburn via Rose Grove, Padiham, Simonstone and Great Harwood.

It was an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Accrington, the archdeaconry of Blackburn, and the diocese of Blackburn until November 2015 when it was closed. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Hyndburn is a local government district with borough status in Lancashire, England. Its council is based in Accrington. The borough, which takes its name from the River Hyndburn, had a population of 80,734 at the 2011 Census.It was formed in 1974, by the amalgamation of the Borough of Accrington, the Urban Districts of Church, Clayton-le-Moors, Great Harwood, Oswaldtwistle and Rishton, and part of the Burnley Rural District.

Clayton-le-Moors is a small industrial town two miles north of Accrington in the borough of Hyndburn in the county of Lancashire, England. It is usually referred to locally as simply 'Clayton'. The town has a population of 8,522 according to the 2011 census.To the west lies Rishton, to the north Great Harwood, and two miles to the south, Accrington.
