Darnytsia (Ukrainian: Дарниця) is a station on the Kiev Metro's Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line. The station was opened on November 5, 1965 as part of the westwards eastwards expansion of the Brovary radius and is the second one to be fully on the left bank of the Dnieper River. It takes its name from the historic neighborhood of Kiev, Darnytsia.

V.N. Shimanovsky Ukrainian Institute of Steel Construction is branch complex scientific research and design organization, which specializes on research and design of building metal structures for buildings of different purposes for all branches of national economy, as a basic organization of Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, and Communal Living of Ukraine, which coordinates scientific and technical activity in field of metal construction.
