Wanstead to forest gate

Wanstead Flats is the southernmost portion of Epping Forest covering Leytonstone and Wanstead, London. The flats and by extension the forest ends at Forest Gate directly to the south. It now falls wholly within the boundaries of London Borough of Redbridge and London Borough of Waltham Forest, though until 1994 two parts of it were in the London Borough of Newham - one of these was the section between Aldersbrook Road and Capel Road east of the junction between Aldersbrook Road and St Margaret's Road, whilst the other was the strip running along Capel Road between its junctions with Centre Road (the A114) and Ridley Road.

Forest Gate is a residential district in east London, England, in the London Borough of Newham.The area has never been an administrative unit and so has never had any formal boundaries, but it is often seen as conterminous with the E7 (Forest Gate) postal area and so it lies on both sides of the boundary between West and East Ham.

The A114 road is a road in England connecting Plaistow, Newham and Whipps Cross University Hospital.

Our Lady of Lourdes church is the Catholic parish church for Wanstead in the London Borough of Redbridge and parts of Leytonstone in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. It is part of the Diocese of Brentwood. The parish priest is Canon Patrick Sammon.

Wanstead is a London Underground station in Wanstead in London, England, on the Hainault loop of the Central line. It is in Travelcard Zone 4.Construction of the station had started in the 1930s, but was delayed by the onset of World War II. The incomplete tunnels between Wanstead and Gants Hill to the east were used for munitions production by Plessey between 1942 and 1945.

Wanstead Park is a railway station in Forest Gate, London. It is on the Gospel Oak to Barking Line in Zone 3, 11 miles 11 chains (17.9 km) down the line from Gospel Oak and situated between Leytonstone High Road and Woodgrange Park. It is operated by London Overground.Despite its name, Wanstead Park Station is not situated in Wanstead but in Forest Gate - and it is not near Wanstead Park but Wanstead Flats.

St Saviour's Church is a Church of England church in Forest Gate, east London. It was opened by Emmanuel Church, Forest Gate as a mission hall in 1880, with a separate parish (split off from that of Emmanuel) and a permanent church following three years later. Its first vicar was Henderson Burnside, one of the first Anglican missionaries in Japan.
