The DW Stadium is a stadium in Robin Park, near Wigan, within the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. The ground is owned and managed by Wigan Football Company Limited, which is 85% owned by Wigan Athletic and 15% owned by Wigan local authority. It is used by Wigan Athletic football club and Wigan Warriors rugby league club, the rugby league club having a 50 years lease on tenancy to play games at the stadium.

The station is 4.4 miles (7 km) north-west of Wigan Wallgate on the Manchester-Southport Line. Gathurst railway station is a two-platform railway station on the outskirts of the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. The station is on the Southport line 2 3⁄4 miles (4.4 kilometres) north west of Wigan Wallgate station. The station also serves the nearby village of Shevington, indeed until 1973 (see British Rail Timetable of 1972) was named Gathurst for Shevington.

Constructed in 6 spans, it crosses the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, the Manchester to Southport railway line and the River Douglas itself.

Wigan Robin Park FC was a semi-professional football club from Wigan, Greater Manchester, England.The Robins had two senior sides, the first team competed in the North West Counties League Division One, and the reserve team competed in the Fourth Division of the Manchester Football League. The club played their home games at the Robin Park Arena on Loire Drive, adjacent to the DW Stadium.
