Seoul Station

Myeongdong (Korean: 명동; Hanja: 明洞; lit. 'bright cave' or 'bright tunnel') is a dong in Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea between Chungmu-ro, Eulji-ro, and Namdaemun-ro. It covers 0.99km² with a population of 3,409 and is mostly a commercial area, being one of Seoul's main shopping, parade route and tourism districts.

Namdaemun (Korean: 남대문; Hanja: 南大門, lit. South Great Door), officially known as the Sungnyemun (Korean: 숭례문; Hanja: 崇禮門, lit. Honoring Propriety Door), is one of the Eight Gates in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, South Korea, which surrounded the city in the Joseon dynasty. It is located in Jung-gu between Seoul Station and Seoul Plaza, with the historic 24-hour Namdaemun Market next to the gate.

The 2008 Namdaemun fire was an incident that occurred on February 10, 2008, in Seoul, South Korea, when arsonist Chae Jong-gi (Korean: 채종기; Hanja: 蔡宗基) set fire to Seoul's historic Namdaemun gate (officially "Sungnyemun"), causing the 550-year-old structure's complete destruction. The gate has since been restored, and it reopened to the public on May 5, 2013.

Daeyeonggak Hotel fire was a skyscraper fire in Seoul, South Korea on December 25, 1971, that killed 164 people and injured 63 people. It remains the deadliest hotel fire in world history.

Jongno Tower (Hangeul: 종로 타워) is a 33-story office building in Jongno, Seoul. Its top floor is equipped with a restaurant and bar which is famous for its view of Jongno and other areas of Seoul. The tower is located near Jonggak Station of Seoul Subway Line 1. The 23rd to 30th floors are hollow. The hangeul lettering is 삼성증권 (Samsung Securities), the owner of the building.

Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station (을지로입구역) is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 2. The station is located on the north end of the Myeongdong shopping district and is the station closest to the main branch of the Lotte Department Store.

Bosingak is a large bell pavilion on Jongno in Seoul, South Korea. The bell in Bosingak gives Jongno its name, which literally means "bell street". It was originally constructed in 1396 but destroyed many times by both war and fire. It was designated Bosingak by Emperor Gojong in 1895.In the Joseon Dynasty, this bell was at the center of the castle town.

It is located on Jongno, central Seoul and comprises a large underground arcade.The second-largest book shop in South Korea, the Bandi & Luni's lying under the Jongno Tower, which in turn is just above this station, is directly accessible from the station.
