Hagley field to Slitting Mill

Hagley Hall was formerly a country house on the outskirts of Rugeley, Staffordshire. After it came into the ownership of the Curzon family, the estate became known as Hagley Park and appeared under that name in 19th century gazetteers, where it was described as "a fine old house and grounds". The site was progressively demolished during the 20th century.

Slitting Mill is a small village on the outskirts of Rugeley, Staffordshire, on the edge of Cannock Chase. At the 2001 census, it had a population of 265.The village is within Rugeley civil parish, although it is a short distance from the rest of the town and has a distinct identity. Horns Pool is a popular local location for anglers.

Hagley Park Academy was originally founded as Hagley Park County Secondary Modern in 1955 and was located in Rugeley, Staffordshire. Later it was rebuilt and changed its name to Hagley Park Sports College, becoming Hagley Park Academy between 2011–2015. This was a mixed secondary school which was part of the Creative Education Trust, along with Fair Oak Academy and Rugeley Sixth Form Academy.

The Hart School is a secondary education academy in Rugeley, England, UK. The school is divided across two sites, and was formed in September 2016 following the merger of Hagley Park Academy and Fair Oak Academy. This was consulted upon and approved in the academic year for 2015/16.The uniform consists of a grey blazer with blue trim; a grey tie with orange, blue and green stripes; a shirt; plain black trousers or a knee-length skirt; and black shoes.
