Gyllyngvase

Gyllyngvase (; Cornish: An Gilen Vas, meaning the shallow inlet) is one of the four beaches associated with Falmouth, Cornwall, United Kingdom, south of Pendennis Castle. It is to the south of Falmouth town centre, but was an essentially rural area as recently as the late 19th century. However, the growth of tourism in the town at around the turn of the 20th century saw the area become more built-up and the seafront on Cliff Road became home to several major hotels.

The Falmouth Hotel is a hotel on the seafront in the northeastern part of Gyllyngvase in Falmouth, Cornwall. The oldest hotel in Falmouth, it opened on 9 May 1865 to provide to tourists due to the new railway station being linked nearby. It is located next to the Royal Duchy Hotel. The foundation stone was laid on 6 August 1863, by Robert Tweedy and it cost about £9000.

Pendennis Castle

It formed part of the King's Device programme to protect against invasion from France and the Holy Roman Empire, and defended the Carrick Roads waterway at the mouth of the River Fal.

The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is located in a harbourside building at Falmouth in Cornwall, England. The building was designed by architect M. J. Long, following an architectural design competition managed by RIBA Competitions.The museum grew out of the FIMI (Falmouth International Maritime Initiative) partnership which was created in 1992 and was the result of collaboration between the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich and the former Cornwall Maritime Museum in Falmouth.

Falmouth Beach Hotel is a hotel on the seafront of Gyllyngvase beach in Falmouth, Cornwall operated in conjunction with the neighbouring St Michael's Hotel & Spa. The original four storey 120 room hotel was operated by Best Western.On April 30, 2012, the hotel was devastated by a fire which broke out on the third floor at roughly 12 noon, which caused the roof to collapse and significant damage to the building.
