Parkville and English Landing

English Landing Park is located along the Missouri river in Parkville, Missouri, United States. The area the park now sits were once just low water areas of the Missouri River. It includes a 3-mile jogging/biking trail that follows the river's edge, several shelters for picnics, a soccer field, a baseball diamond, volleyball courts, 2 playgrounds (one for small kids and one for bigger kids).

It was built in 1896, and is a variation of the "T"-plan observatory building style constructed of ashlar limestone blocks.

Mackay Building, also known as Mackay Hall, is a historic building located on the campus of Park University at Parkville, Platte County, Missouri. It was built in 1886, and is a three-story, rock-faced limestone structure with Richardsonian Romanesque, High Victorian Gothic, and Chateauesque style design elements.

The Waddell "A" Truss Bridge, also known as Linn Branch Creek Bridge, is a historic truss bridge located at Parkville, Platte County, Missouri. It was built in 1898. It was designed by engineer John Alexander Low Waddell and is the subject of a U.S. patent, U.S. Patent 529,220.Waddell went on to become a distinguished engineer of many lift-type bridges (which this is not).
