University of Wisconsin–Platteville (UW–Platteville) is a public university in Platteville, Wisconsin. Part of the University of Wisconsin System, it offers bachelor's and master's degrees. The university has three colleges that serve over 8,000 students on-campus and an additional 3,000 students through its five distance education programs.

WSUP is a university-run radio station located in Platteville, Wisconsin. It is run by an all-volunteer student body at University of Wisconsin-Platteville.WSUP is the oldest student-operated radio station in the UW System, originating in 1964, when the university was Wisconsin State University-Platteville (hence the call letters).

Williams Fieldhouse is a 2,300-seat multi-purpose arena in Platteville, Wisconsin. It is home to the NCAA Division III University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers basketball team. It opened in 1962.The playing surface was named "Bo Ryan Court" in 2007 in honor of Bo Ryan, the coach at UW-Platteville from 1984 to 1999, who led the Pioneers to four national titles.

The North American Manx Museum in Platteville, Wisconsin, at University of Wisconsin–Platteville, in the United States was opened in 2012. It relates to the Isle of Man, located between Ireland and Britain, and to the heritage of Manx immigrants who came to the United States.

The Agriculture and Manual Arts Building/Platteville State Normal School is located in Platteville, Wisconsin.
