Wylam walk

George Stephenson's Birthplace is the 18th-century stone cottage home of rail pioneer George Stephenson. Located along the north bank of the River Tyne in the village of Wylam, Northumberland, the cottage is owned by the National Trust and until recently it was open to the public as a historic house museum.

It was formerly one of two stations in Wylam, the other being North Wylam Station on the Scotswood, Newburn & Wylam Railway, which was closed along with most of the line in 1968.

Ryton railway station was a station in Ryton, Tyne and Wear, England. This large village is situated to the south of the River Tyne, at an elevation of some 60–90 metres, some 7 miles west of central Newcastle upon Tyne and within a half mile of the Newcastle-to-Carlisle railway, which roughly follows the course of the river along its south bank.

Holy Cross Church, Ryton is a Church of England parish church in Ryton, Tyne and Wear. The church is a Grade I listed building.
