Brown's Inlet is a body of water in central Ottawa. A former creek, it grew considerably in size with the creation of the Rideau Canal, into which it now empties. Originally considerably larger, the inlet was shortened and divided so that today on the surface it is two ponds, but they are connected underground.

The Corktown Footbridge (French: Passerelle Corktown), also referred to as the Somerset Street bridge or simply the Somerset Bridge, is a footbridge in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada built across the Rideau Canal. The 70-metre bridge is located about 400m south of the Laurier Avenue Bridge. It was opened on September 21, 2006.

The Flora Footbridge, named after Flora MacDonald, is a pedestrian/cycling bridge in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, that spans the Rideau Canal, connecting Clegg Street in Old Ottawa East to Fifth Avenue in the Glebe. It also crosses Colonel By Drive.The bridge is 5 m wide and 123 m long. Construction started in 2018.

Pig Island is an island in the Rideau Canal in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It was named for a group of pigs stranded on the island during the construction of the Canal. Its location near Lansdowne Park has led to proposals to link it by pedestrian bridge to the mainland on either side of the Canal as part of the rehabilitation of Lansdowne Park.

Patterson Creek is a small body of water in the middle of Ottawa, Canada. The creek was originally a small stream flowing east through a swampy area to the Rideau River. The construction of the Rideau Canal blocked the creek causing it to become much larger in size. Prior to the construction the land housed a Cedar Lodge.

The Drill Hall at Cartier Square is a dedicated military training facility in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It has been a local landmark since its construction in 1879. The drill hall is 70 meters (230 ft) long and has two 43 meters (141 ft) tall mansard towers.The hall is located on the bank of the Rideau Canal just south of Laurier Avenue.

House of Targ is a live music venue, arcade and pierogi restaurant in Ottawa, Canada. The venue opened April 17, 2014 with a live performance from Toronto band PUP. Owners Paul Granger, Mark McHale and Kevin Berger acquired a 10-year lease on the 1077 Bank street location. The 4,000 sq. ft. basement venue formerly housed the Bayou Blues bar, The New Bayou and The Underground.
