Waren (Müritz) (also Waren an der Müritz) is a town and climatic spa in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It was the capital of the former district of Müritz (Kreis Müritz) until the district reform of 2011. It is situated at the northern end of Lake Müritz, approximately 40 kilometres west of Neubrandenburg.

The Müritzeum is a visitor centre and nature discovery centre for the Müritz National Park, located on Lake Müritz, near the town of Waren in the north German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.The concept of the visitor centre is to have an enjoyable and interactive science-based approach to the themes of nature and regional history.

The lake is separated from the Binnenmüritz to the southwest by a 300 metre wide isthmus. The lake is a glacial tunnel valley lake nestling in an ice-age formed meltwater channel, that runs into Lake Müritz from the north.

The Herrensee is a small lake on the northwestern edge of the old town (Altstadt) of Waren (Müritz) in the district of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte in the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.The originally almost-circular lake was slightly enlarged on its southern shore during the construction of the Information and Nature Experience Centre of Müritzeum.

The Melzer See or Melzersee is a lake at Waren in Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.The Melzer See lies on the northeastern perimeter of the town of Waren (Müritz). It has an area of 12.9 hectares and lies at an elevation of 63 m above sea level (NHN). Its maximum dimensions are 670 by 260 metres.
