The Jack the Ripper Museum is a museum and tourist attraction that opened in August 2015 in Cable Street, London. It recreates the east London setting in which the unsolved Jack the Ripper murders took place in 1888, and exhibits some original artefacts from the period as well as waxwork recreations of crime scenes and sets.

Bermondsey Abbey was an English Benedictine monastery. Most widely known as an 11th-century foundation, it had a precursor mentioned in the early eighth century, and was centred on what is now Bermondsey Square, the site of Bermondsey Market, Bermondsey, in the London Borough of Southwark, southeast London, England.

Tower Bridge is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, built between 1886 and 1894. The bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London and has become an iconic symbol of London. As a result, it is sometimes confused with London Bridge, about half a mile (0.8 km) upstream. The Tower Hotel is a large hotel situated on the north bank of the River Thames, on the east side of Tower Bridge, in London.The hotel was designed by the Renton Howard Wood Partnership, and constructed by Taylor Woodrow for owners J. Lyons & Co., and opened in September 1973. It was built in a modern style considered unattractive by many; indeed it was twice voted the second ugliest building in London, in a 2005 Time Out poll, and in a 2006 BBC poll.

The Hawker Hunter Tower Bridge incident occurred on 5 April 1968 when Royal Air Force (RAF) Hawker Hunter pilot Alan Pollock performed unauthorised low flying over several London landmarks and then flew through the span of Tower Bridge on the Thames. His actions were to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the RAF and as a demonstration against the Ministry of Defence for not recognising it.

The Anchor Brewhouse was a small brewery by Shad Thames in Horsleydown, near Tower Bridge in London. The brewhouse was bought in December 1787 by John Courage. In 1955, the Courage Brewery merged with the nearby Anchor Brewery, then owned by Barclay, Perkins & Co Ltd, to become Courage, Barclay & Co Ltd.

Leman Street was a railway station on the main line from Fenchurch Street to Blackwall in east London. It was 38 chains (0.76 km) down the line from Fenchurch Street, situated on the east side of Leman Street, near Cable Street, in the parish of Whitechapel.Leman Street was opened by the Great Eastern Railway on 1 June 1877, despite having been completed four years earlier; opening was delayed after safety inspectors requested a number of enhancements and modifications.
