Saltburn-by-the-Sea

Saltburn Pier is a pier located in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Redcar and Cleveland and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. It is the last pier remaining in Yorkshire.

Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a seaside town in Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England, around 12 miles (19 km) south east of Hartlepool. It lies within the historic boundaries of the North Riding of Yorkshire. It has a population of around 6,000.The development of Middlesbrough and Saltburn was driven by the discovery of iron stone in the Cleveland Hills and the building of two railways to transport the minerals.

The Saltburn Cliff Lift is a funicular railway in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Redcar and Cleveland in the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. It provides access to Saltburn Pier and the seafront from the town. The cliff lift is the oldest operating water-balance cliff lift in the United Kingdom.Saltburn Cliff Lift was constructed between 1883 and 1884 to replace a vertical cliff hoist, designed by John Anderson, which was used to transport passengers up and down the steep north-facing cliff between the town and the pier.

The Saltburn Miniature Railway is a 15 in (381 mm) gauge railway at Saltburn, in Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England.

Langbaurgh East was a wapentake of the North Riding of Yorkshire, the eastern division of Langbaurgh, England. The name is now in use as a local justice area (formerly a petty sessional division), consisting of the eastern, mostly rural part of the borough of Redcar and Cleveland. The East Wapentake in particular covered roughly the area of modern-day Redcar & Cleveland and the northern most parts of the Scarborough district.

It is the terminus of the Tees Valley Line and is operated by Northern who provide all passenger train services.It is unmanned, and has two acrylic glass passenger shelters, bench seating and an electronic information board.
