Ironton

Ironton is a city in and the county seat of Lawrence County, Ohio, United States. Located in southernmost Ohio along the Ohio River 15 miles northwest of Huntington, West Virginia, the city includes the Downtown Ironton Historic District.The population was 11,129 at the 2010 census. Ironton is part of the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH, Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).

Ironton High School (IHS) is a public high school in Ironton, Ohio, United States. It is the only public high school in the Ironton City School District.

The Rock Hill Local School District is a local school district in Ohio. The central location for its offices and school campuses is just outside Ironton, Ohio. It currently operates four schools; the Rock Hill Child Development Center (Pre-K), the Rock Hill Elementary School (K-5), the Rock Hill Middle School (6-8), and the Rock Hill Senior High School (9-12).

Saint Joseph Central Catholic High School is a private, Catholic high school in Ironton, Ohio. It is operated by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Steubenville. The school's sports teams are known as the Flyers. In addition to housing the high school grades of 9-12, the school also houses junior high grades 7-8.

Upper Township is one of the fourteen townships of Lawrence County, Ohio, United States. The 2000 census found 15,648 people in the township, 3,170 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.
