The Byes 5k

The River Sid is a minor river in East Devon. It flows for 6.5 miles (10.5 km) southwards from a source in Crowpits Covert (OSGB36 Grid reference SY138963) at a height of 206 metres above sea level. The source is at the head of a goyle or small ravine.The underlying geology is impermeable silty mudstones and sandstones of the Triassic Keuper marl, overlain with permeable Greensand and clay-with-flints.

Sidford is a small village in the civil parish of and on the outskirts of the town of Sidmouth in the English county of Devon. It has a population of just over 2100 people according to the 2001 Census.It is on the River Sid, which runs for four miles into Lyme Bay at Sidmouth. There is a 12th-century packhorse bridge over the river that was the site of a 1644 skirmish in the English Civil War.

Sidmouth College is a coeducational community secondary school and sixth form, located in Sidmouth in the English county of Devon.As a community school, Sidmouth College is administered by Devon County Council, and attracts pupils from as far afield as Exmouth and Exeter. In February 2012 the college was deemed 'Good' by Ofsted, with 852 students on roll.
