Teruel surroundings

The Battle of Alfambra took place near Alfambra between 5 and the 8 February 1938, during the Spanish Civil War. This battle was a part of the Battle of Teruel. After, the conquest of Teruel by the Republican army, the Nationalists started a counteroffensive in order to reocuppy Teruel. On 5 February a huge nationalist force broke the republican lines in the north of the Teruel towards the Alfambra river, taking 7,000 republican prisoners and threatening the Republican forces in Teruel.

The Tower of Iglesia de San Salvador (Spanish: Torre de la Iglesia de San Salvador) is a mudéjar bell tower located in Teruel, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1911.It has been included in a World Heritage Site, originally called "Mudejar Architecture of Teruel" and later extended.

The Torre de San Martín (English: St. Martin's Tower) is a medieval structure in Teruel, Aragon, northern Spain. Built in Aragonese Mudéjar style in 1316 and renovated in the 16th century, it was added to the UNESCO Heritage List in 1986 together with other Mudéjar structures in Teruel.The tower was built between in 1315 and 1316.
