Thompson Creek Park is a Corp of Engineers park on Lake Lanier located at the end of Thompson Creek Park Road in Dawsonville Georgia. The park has a boat ramp, picnic facilities and a hiking trail. The park also has restrooms and water fountains as well as parking at the trailhead. The trail is a half mile dirt trail the skirts the lake shore to give nice wooded lake views. There are several benches that overlook the lake for a nice spot to rest and reflect. The trail is not conducive to strollers or wheelchairs. Kids love the trail and lakeshore. Dogs on leashes are welcome. The trail is level the entire way.
