Bolding Mill Park is a Corp of Engineers park on Lake Lanier located off Chestatee Road near Gainesville. A short walk to the beach from the boat ramp offers nice lake views. The Laurel Trail is dirt but only a few hundred yards long. When it ends you can pick up the paved sidewalk and follow it around past the restrooms and water fountains to the beach area. We follow the road back to the parking area to make a figure eight and to have different views. Dogs are allowed on a leash and kids love the beach area. The Laurel Trail is not accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.
