Reigate Hill

The London Defence Positions were a late 19th century scheme of earthwork fortifications in the south-east of England, designed to protect London from foreign invasion landing on the south coast. The positions were a carefully surveyed contingency plan for a line of entrenchments, which could be quickly excavated in a time of emergency.

Mogador is a hamlet in the Reigate and Banstead district, in the English county of Surrey. It is at the edge of Banstead Heath, which provides it a green buffer from other communities, and about 1 km from the top of the north-facing dip slope of the North Downs. At an elevation of about 200 metres it is one of the highest settlements in south-east England.

Colley Hill is part of the North Downs escarpment in the North Downs, Surrey, England. It is about 1 km east of Buckland Hills and 1 km west of Reigate Hill, all of which form part of the same escarpment. It is centred 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of London and forms a single scarp with Reigate Hill, peaking 2 miles (3 km) away at 235 metres above sea level.

Reigate railway station serves the town of Reigate, Surrey, England, on the North Downs Line. It is 24 miles 27 chains (39.17 km) measured from London Charing Cross via Redhill.The station is managed by Southern, which use it as one of their termini and provide an hourly direct service to London Victoria.

Reigate transmitting station is a television and radio transmitting tower in southeastern England. It is located on the North Downs at Reigate Hill about one mile (1.6 km) north of the town of Reigate at junction 8 of the M25 motorway where it intersects with the A217 road. Another telecommunications tower is located adjacent to the Reigate broadcasting tower, both sites are owed and operated by Arqiva.

Reigate College is a state college in Reigate, Surrey, England, for students aged between 16–19 years of age. The college occupies part of the town centre between the High Street and railway station.Reigate College was graded by Ofsted as "Outstanding" in 2008.
