The monument — built mainly in cast iron — was erected in 1834–1838 to commemorate the Russian victory in the Russo-Turkish War, 1828-1829.

Moskovskiye Vorota (Russian: Москóвские ворóта, Moscow Gate) is a station of the Saint Petersburg Metro. The station was opened on April 29, 1961.

The Badayev warehouses are a complex of wooden warehouses, originally built in St. Petersburg in 1914 by Igor Rasteryaev, a merchant of the 1st Guild. The warehouses, which occupy a site of 27 hectares, are named after the Soviet political functionary Aleksei Badayev. From October 1917 they were used to store food reserves.

Moskovskaya zastava Municipal Okrug (Russian: муниципа́льный о́круг Моско́вская заста́ва) is a municipal okrug in Moskovsky District, one of the eighty-one low-level municipal divisions of the federal city of St. Petersburg, Russia. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 45,680, down from 46,951 recorded during the 2002 Census.

Moskovsky Prospekt (Russian: Моско́вский проспе́кт, Moskovsky Avenue) is a 10 km-long prospekt in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It runs from Sennaya Square and Sadovaya Street, to Victory Square, where it splits into the Pulkovo Highway and Moscow Highway. It crosses the Fontanka River, Zagorodny Prospekt, Obvodny Canal, and Ligovsky Prospekt.

Novodevichy Cemetery (Russian: Новодевичье кладбище) in Saint Petersburg is a historic cemetery in the south-west part of the city near the Moscow Triumphal Gate. The cemetery is named after the historical Resurrection (Novodevichy) Convent. In the 19th century it was the second most prestigious cemetery after the Tikhvin Cemetery in the Alexander Nevsky Monastery.
