Introduction
Syracuse’s Burnet Park is a 1 mile (2,500-step) route located near Syracuse, New York, USA. This route has an elevation gain of about 52.5 ft and is rated as easy. Find the best walking trails near you in Pacer App.
Located in the Tipperary Hill area of Syracuse (Far West side), Burnet Park’s 88 rolling acres encourages folks to come out and enjoy the outdoors. The park hosts paved walking trails with scenic views, athletic fields and courts, a golf course, pool, ice rink, zoo, playground, picnic area, and benches. As part of the Move It Monday campaign, the park’s Monday Mile Trail is a marked loop. I chose to walk Burnet Drive, a lightly traveled trail/road which skirts the outermost west and south boundaries of the park, and parallels South Avery Ave and Grand Ave. It is a mile down the hill, and a mile back up the hill. Beautiful scenic views on the way down, heart pumping cardio workout on the way back up.
