Yahoola creek park nature loop is a 1.1 mile (2,500-step) route located near Dahlonega, Georgia, USA. This route has an elevation gain of about 39.4 ft and is rated as easy. Find the best walking trails near you in Pacer App.
This roughly 1 mile loop highlights the two main scenic areas of the park. The route starts with crossing Yahoola Creek at the north bridge. The route is paid for about a quarter of a mile until you get to the historic McDonald cabin. At this point the route enters the wooded section of the park and the trail changes to small gravel for the next six tenths of mile. Along this section you will walk amongst beautiful hardwoods to the south view point of Yahoola Creek. The route then backtracks to get you to the creek side trail where you will enjoy scenic views and sounds of the creek. To finish the route you will leave the gravel and cross the middle footbridge over the creek and finish with roughly .15 mile paved trail along the other side of the creek.
The route is rated easy with no elevation change. You will pass two playgrounds and two sets of bathrooms along the route. There are numerous benches and picnic tables as well. You will also find water fountains near the restrooms.
