The First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Petersburg (Russian: Первый Санкт-Петербургский государственный медицинский университет имени академика И. П. Павлова, ПСПбГМУ им. акад. И. П. Павлова) was established in 1897 in St. Petersburg, Russia, as the first Russian medical college for women. After its 123 years of history, it has become one of the leading medical colleges in Russia and the world.

The N. G. Kuznetsov Naval Academy (Russian: Военно-морская академия имени Н. Г. Кузнецова) is the main staff college and postgraduate institution for the Russian Navy and is located in Saint Petersburg.In 1827 Admiral Ivan Kruzenshtern initiated an Officers' Class at the Naval Cadet Corps. In 1862 the Class was reorganized into an Academic Course of Maritime Science.

Aptekarsky Island (Russian: Апте́карский о́стров, pronounced [ɐˈpʲtʲɛkərstkʲɪj ˈostrəf]) is a small island situated in the northern part of the Neva delta. It is separated from Petrogradsky Island by the Karpovka River, from Kamenny Island and Krestovsky Island by the Malaya Nevka and from the Vyborgskaya region of St-Petersburg by the Bolshaya Nevka.

Aptekarsky Ostrov Municipal Okrug (Russian: муниципа́льный о́круг Апте́карский О́стров) is a municipal okrug in Petrogradsky District, one of the eighty-one low-level municipal divisions of the federal city of St. Petersburg, Russia. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 20,575, up from 19,277 recorded during the 2002 Census.

Sampsonievsky Bridge, was also known as Freedom Bridge during the 20th century, is a structure located over the Bolshaya Nevka river, St Petersburg, Russia. It links Kuybysheva Street and Finlandsky Avenue. It was named after St. Sampson’s Cathedral. It is 215 metres long and 27 metres wide.

Saint Petersburg Television Tower is a 326 m (1,070 ft) Russian steel lattice television tower in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Being the very first dedicated television tower in the Soviet Union, the Saint Petersburg TV Tower is utilized for transmitting for FM-/TV-broadcasting throughout the federal city.

The Saint Petersburg Botanical Garden, also known as the Botanic Gardens of the Komarov Botanical Institute or the Komarov Botanical Garden, is the oldest botanical garden in Russia. It consists of outdoor and indoor collections situated on Aptekarsky Island in Saint Petersburg and belongs to the Komarov Botanical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Petrogradskaya (Russian: Петрогра́дская) is a station on the Moskovsko-Petrogradskaya Line of the Saint Petersburg Metro.The station was opened on July 1, 1963. The name was given by its location on Petrograskaya Storona and Petrogradskiy districtThe ground vestibule is by architects Andreev and Moskalenko, and is in the building of "Dom mod" ("House of Fashions"), at the intersection of Kamennoostrovsky prospect and Big prospect of Petrogradskaya Storona, near Leon Tolstoy square.

St Sampson's Cathedral (Сампсониевский собор) is the oldest church in St. Petersburg. It stands on the northern outskirts of the city and gives its name to Sampsonievsky Avenue. Rumor has it that it was in St. Sampson's Cathedral that Catherine II of Russia secretly married Grigory Potemkin in 1774.The original wooden church was built in 1710 to honor Sampson the Hospitable.

Kamenny Island Palace (Каменноостровский дворец) is a former imperial palace on the south-western promontory of Kamenny Island in St. Petersburg.The Neoclassical edifice was commissioned in the 1770s by Catherine II of Russia for her son Paul. It has a portico of six Tuscan columns and a spacious cour d'honneur.
