Sapporo (札幌市, Sapporo-shi) is the fifth largest city of Japan by population, and the largest city on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. It is the capital city of Hokkaido Prefecture and Ishikari Subprefecture. It is an ordinance-designated city. Located in the southwestern part of Hokkaido, Sapporo lies within the alluvial fan of the Toyohira River, a tributary stream of the Ishikari River.

Odori Park (大通公園, Ōdōri Kōen) is a park located in the heart of Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Ōdōri (大通) means "large street" in Japanese. It stretches east to west through Nishi 1 chōme, Ōdōri to Nishi 12 chōme, Ōdōri ("Nishi" means west, and "chōme" is a block in Japanese), and divides the city into north and south sections.

Ishikari Subprefecture (石狩振興局, Ishikari-shinkō-kyoku) is a subprefecture of Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, located in the western part of the island. The subprefecture covers 3,539.86 square kilometres (1,366.75 sq mi) and in 2011 had a population of 2,334,241. The subprefecture takes its name from the Ishikari River, the third longest in Japan, which flows through western Hokkaido and empties into the Sea of Japan in the city of Ishikari.

Sapporo Clock Tower (札幌時計台 Sapporo Tokeidai) is a wooden structure and tourist attraction, located at North 1 West 2, Chūō-ku, Sapporo, the largest city on the island of Hokkaidō, northern Japan.The building is of American design and is one of the few surviving Western-style buildings in Sapporo, a city developed in the 1870s with assistance from the American government.

The facilities of the former Hokkaidō Government Office in Sapporo, Japan, include a conference room, a museum shop, a tourist information office, and a few historical exhibition rooms and libraries. Visitors can enter the building for free. Flower gardens and a pond are located in front of the building, which occasionally are designated as some event venues.

Sapporo Station (さっぽろ駅, Sapporo-eki) is a Sapporo Municipal Subway station in Chūō-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The station is numbered "N06" for the Namboku Line, and "H07" for the Tōhō Line. The station is connected to the JR Hokkaido Sapporo Station by an underground passage.

Ōdōri Station (大通駅, Ōdōri Eki) is a subway station in Chūō-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, operated by Sapporo Municipal Subway. The station opened on December 16, 1971 as part of the first phase of the Namboku Line.

Sapporo Station (札幌駅, Sapporo-eki) is a railway station in Chūō-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. It is served by Hakodate Main Line and other lines of Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido), and is also connected to the Subway Sapporo Station.Sapporo Station is the starting point and terminus for most limited express services operated by JR Hokkaido.

Sapporo Junior Jazz School is a jazz school for children in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan that was founded in 2000. The school has about 60 members between 6 and 16 years old.

The Sapporo Grand Hotel is an historic hotel in the Chūō district of Sapporo, Japan. It is said to have been constructed at Prince Chichibu's suggestion in 1928, while he was on a skiing trip, that the city needed a western-style hotel. The Grand Hotel first opened its doors in 1934 and was at the time of its construction the tallest building in the city.
