The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation (Russian: Министерство обороны Российской Федерации, Минобороны России, informally abbreviated as МО, МО РФ or Minoboron) is the governing body of the Russian Armed Forces.The President of Russia is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and directs the activity of the Ministry.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Russian: Генеральный штаб Вооружённых сил Российской Федерации, Генштаб – Genshtab) is the military staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It is the central organ of the Armed Forces Administration and oversees operational management of the armed forces under the Russian Ministry of Defence.

Echo of Moscow (Russian: Э́хо Москвы́, romanized: Ekho Moskvy) is a 24/7 commercial Russian radio station based in Moscow. It broadcasts in many Russian cities, some of the former Soviet republics (through partnerships with local radio stations), and via the Internet. The current editor-in-chief is Alexei Venediktov.

Arbat District (Russian: райо́н Арба́т) is a district of Central Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. Population: 28,179 (2010 Census); 25,699 (2002 Census).The district extends from central Mokhovaya Street west to Novoarbatsky Bridge over the Moskva River. Its irregular boundaries correspond roughly to Znamenka Street and Sivtsev Vrazhek Lane in the south and Povarskaya Street in the north.

The Lotte Hotel Moscow (Лотте Отель Москва) is a 5 star hotel in Moscow situated at the intersection of New Arbat Avenue and Novinsky Boulevard. The hotel is the first oversea project of South Korean "Lotte Hotels & Resorts" hotel chain. It is the highest rated hotel in the Lotte chain.In September 2010, the five-star Lotte Hotel Moscow opened its doors for guests.

The Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute (Russian: Театральный институт имени Бориса Щукина) is a Russian drama college in Moscow, formed in 1914 as part of the Vakhtangov Theatre. In 2002 it was granted the Academy status.

Arbatskaya (Russian: Арба́тская) is a station on the Filyovskaya line of the Moscow Metro. Completed in 1935, it was one of the original Metro stations. The design is the same standard pillar-trispan template used for Smolenskaya, Sokolniki, and Park Kultury. The pillars are faced with pinkish marble and the platform is a matching shade of granite.

Arbatskaya Square or Arbat Square (Russian: Арба́тская пло́щадь) is one of the oldest squares of Moscow, located on the junction of Gogolevsky Boulevard, Znamenka Street and Arbat Gates Square (in 1925–1993 – part of Arbatskaya Square).The square is home to the Arbatskaya metro station, on Filyovskaya Line.

The Tsoi Wall (Tsoi's Wall, Russian: Стена Цоя) is a graffiti-covered wall in Moscow, dedicated to musician Viktor Tsoi and his band Kino. The wall is located at the house №37, at the intersection of Arbat Street and Krivoarbatsky Lane and is considered one of Moscow's landmarks. It is customary for Tsoi's fans to leave a broken lighted cigarette in the special ash plate by the wall.

Krivoarbatsky Lane (Russian: Кривоарба́тский переу́лок; from Russian "кривой", krivoy, meaning "curved") is a small sidestreet near the Arbat Street. It is most notable for its curved form and the Wall of Viktor Tsoi, a Russian musician. This street is also notable for some informal youth gatherings.
