This was a wonderful mix of foreshore paths, streets and parkland all with stunning views. A rather long walkabout but with plenty of opportunity to stop and rest along the way. Takes you round the bay run, under iron cove Bridge, through Balmain Cove, Ellington Park, past Dawn Fraser public baths (currently closed for renovations), to birchgrove oval and Yurulbin Park (where you can catch the Birchgrove ferry), onwards to ballast point (great family/dog friendly picnic and bbq spot with fantastic toilet facilities), from here a short walk through Mort bay and onto Balmain east (catch the ferry to circular quay or darling harbour), finish up by walking up darling street through Balmain and Rozelle. There are plenty of watering holes and cafes along the strip to recover!
