Vom Quartier Matthof/Schönbühl führt der Weg Richtung Stadtzentrum. Beim Bundesplatz geht’s Richtung Obergrundquartier. Man überquert die Hauptstrasse und geht direkt weiter ins Bruchmattquartier. Dort folgt man der Buslinie 10 hinauf in den Untergütsch. Weiter geht’s der gleichen Buslinie entlang den Wald hinauf. Die Strasse ist steil, aber gut zu begehen. Nach ein paar hundert Metern erreicht man den Obergütsch und man hat teilweise eine schöne Aussicht auf die Stadt Luzern. Vom Obergütsch kann man weiter hinauf in den Gigeliwald und dann zu Fuss oder mit dem ÖV zurück in die Stadt.
