Collio-Gorizia

The Fourth Battle of the Isonzo was fought between the armies of Kingdom of Italy and those of Austria-Hungary on the Italian Front in World War I, between November 10 and December 2, 1915.

Goriška is a historical region in western Slovenia on the border with Italy. It comprises the northern part of the wider traditional region of the Slovenian Littoral (Primorska). The name Goriška is an adjective referring to the city of Gorizia, its historical and cultural centre.

Gornje Cerovo (pronounced [ˈɡoːɾnjɛ tsɛˈɾɔːʋɔ] or [ˈɡoːɾnjɛ tsɛˈɾoːʋɔ]) is a village in the Municipality of Brda in the Littoral region of Slovenia, right on the border with Italy.The Cerovo parish church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint Nicholas and belongs to the Diocese of Koper.

San Floriano del Collio (Slovene: Števerjan; Friulian: San Florean dal Cuei) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Gorizia in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 6 kilometres (4 mi) northwest of Gorizia, on the border with Slovenia, and borders the following municipalities: Brda (Slovenia), Capriva del Friuli, Cormons, Gorizia, Mossa.

Transalpina Square (Italian: Piazza della Transalpina, meaning "Square of the Transalpina [Railway Line])"; Slovene: Trg Evrope, meaning "Europe Square"), is a square divided between the towns of Gorizia, northeastern Italy, and Nova Gorica, southwestern Slovenia. The railway station of Nova Gorica is located at the eastern end of the square, on the Slovenian side.
