Billinudgel is a town in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia, and is part of Byron Shire. It used to be a railway town with many fruit and vegetables loaded onto the local railway. Since the railway is no longer used in Billinudgel, it has nearly joined to the nearby town of Ocean Shores.

New Brighton, New South Wales, is a small town located north-west of Ocean Shores. It includes a soccer field home to the Shores United Soccer Club and is very close to the Ocean Shores Public School located in North Ocean Shores. At the 2016 census, New Brighton had a population of 356 people.

The Brunswick Heads Nature Reserve is a protected nature reserve located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. The 221-hectare (550-acre) reserve is situated near Brunswick Heads and contains an intact segment of littoral rainforest.Much of the Australian littoral rainforests have been destroyed for agriculture, mining or housing.
