大部分的锻炼都是在这个场地进行的，春夏季节锻炼的人更多，晚上跑步为了安全还是要慢一些，这里是跑步和散步的最好地点，有一个1公里的大圈，也有300米的小圈，场地还稍有些坡度，政府投资了1个多亿改建完成的，公园里的绿化植被覆盖率相当高，可以产生一个小型的空气质量优良的环境。
