Kiev National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University is the national university specializing exclusively in performing arts and located in Kiev (Ukraine). It is a multidisciplinary institution that includes a department of theatrical arts and the Institute of Screen Arts. The university has four campuses around the city of Kiev and a separate student dormitory.

Lvivska Brama (Ukrainian: Львiвська Брама) is a station on the Syretsko-Pecherska Line of the Kiev Metro between the stations Lukianivska and Zoloti Vorota, that was built but never opened.

National Ukrainian Academy of Arts (Ukrainian: Академія мистецтв України (АМУ)) is a state scientific and artistic institution in the field of art, culture, and art history in Ukraine. The academy is one of the six state funded institutions along with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine that was established in 1996 and obtained its National status in 2010.

The Embassy of Italy in Kiev is the diplomatic mission of Italy in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (Ukrainian SSR or UkrSSR or UkSSR; Ukrainian: Украї́нська Радя́нська Соціалісти́чна Респу́бліка, Украї́нська РСР, УРСР ; Russian: Украи́нская Сове́тская Социалисти́ческая Респу́блика, Украи́нская ССР , УССР ; see "Name" section below), also known as Soviet Ukraine, was one of the constituent republics of the Soviet Union from the Union's inception in 1922 to its breakup in 1991.

The West Ukrainian People's Republic (Ukrainian: Західноукраїнська Народна Республіка, Zakhidnoukrayins’ka Narodna Respublika, ZUNR) was a short-lived republic that existed from November 1918 to July 1919 in eastern Galicia. It included the cities of Lviv, Przemyśl, Ternopil, Kolomyia, Boryslav and Stanislaviv (now Ivano-Frankivsk), and claimed parts of Bukovina and Carpathian Ruthenia.

The Major Archeparchy of Kiev–Galicia, or Kyiv–Halych is the only major archeparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. The cathedral church, the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, as of 2013 was under construction in Kyiv.

The post-Soviet transition in Ukraine was established following the country's independence in 1991 up until the adoption of its constitution in 1996.

The Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Kiev is the principal Archdiocese (Archeparchy) of the Ukrainian Catholic Major Archeparchy of Kiev-Halych, within the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. It has a long ecclesiastical history, but its modern institutional renewal was initiated on 25 November 1995, when Archiepiscopal Exarchate of Kiev-Vyshhorod was created, under the jurisdiction of Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Lviv.
