Sopela, also known as Sopelana, is a town and municipality located in the province of Biscay, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, northern Spain.The town is roughly 820 hectares in area, located in the comarca Mungialdea on the north east side of Bilbao and due east of the Nervión river estuary.

It is located in the neighborhood of Larrabasterra, in the municipality of Sopelana, in the comarca of Mungialdea inside the Bilbao metropolitan area. The station before is Sopelana and the station after is Berango. It is an at-grade station and its fare zone is C.
