Whitley Bay High School is a mixed upper school and sixth form located in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, England.

Monkseaton is a village absorbed into Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, in the North East of England. It is in the north-east of the borough, 3⁄4 mile (1.2 km) from the North Sea coast and 1 1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) north of the River Tyne at North Shields. A mile to the north of Monkseaton, the extensive built-up areas of North Tyneside change abruptly into green belt stretching north into south-east Northumberland.

Monkseaton Metro station is a station on the Yellow line of the Tyne and Wear Metro network, in Monkseaton, North Tyneside, England. Much of the original 1915 station was retained when the line was converted to Metro operation, although the northbound (In) platform and buildings were completely replaced.

West Monkseaton Metro station is a station on the Yellow line of the Tyne and Wear Metro in the village Monkseaton, North Tyneside. It is located in a residential area at the west of Monkseaton, with the station entrance sited above the tracks on Earsdon Road.

Wellfield and South Wellfield is an area of Whitley Bay, England, between Monkseaton and Earsdon. It is a residential suburb built between the 1920s and 1950s. The older properties are towards Earsdon, the newer ones closer to Monkseaton.The older, South Wellfield end, had, until relatively recently, a Post Office, a Co-Operative store, and a hairdresser's shop, but all are now closed and converted into private dwelling houses.
