Botternell was a village, now a hamlet in the parish of North Hill, east Cornwall, dating from around 1160, at one point around 1650 it was made up of two separate villages - higher and lower Bourtnell, (spelling varies). The village no longer exists, having not been classed as a village since around 1840, however there is a farm of the same name and a small hamlet of 5 houses on the site.
