Cannon Hill Park

Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park, formerly Birmingham Nature Centre, and before that Birmingham Zoo, is a small zoo on the edge of Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham, England. Owned and managed by Birmingham City Council. As well as catering to tourists and locals, the zoo is actively focused in many scientific programs, such as involvement in the EEP captive breeding programmes with endangered animals, helping to highlight the plight of the world’s biodiversity through educational talks and campaigns.

Cannon Hill Park is a park located in south Birmingham, England. It is the most popular park in the city, covering 250 acres (101 ha) consisting of formal, conservation, woodland and sports areas. Recreational activities at the park include boating, fishing, bowls, tennis, putting and picnic areas.It also contains Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park, the mac theatre, and adjacent to the park is Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

The Chad Brook is a stream, or brook, wholly within Birmingham, England. It rises in the district of Harborne (formerly in Worcestershire), giving its name to the area known as Chad Valley (and thus indirectly to Chad Valley toys), and runs through the suburb of Edgbaston.Its course follows a roughly south-easterly direction, passing through the grounds of Lordswood Boys' School and then Harborne Nature Reserve and the Grade II listed Westbourne Road Town Gardens,, underneath the former Harborne Railway (now a walkway), crosses the campus of the University of Birmingham and the grounds of Edgbaston Hall where it feeds Edgbaston Pool, and is in a culvert under the site of the BBC's former Pebble Mill Studios, leading to its confluence with the Bourne Brook.

Highbury Hall, now a Grade II* listed building, was commissioned as his Birmingham residence by Joseph Chamberlain in 1878, two years after he became member of parliament for Birmingham. It took its name from the Highbury area of London, where Chamberlain had lived as a child. The architect was John Henry Chamberlain (no relation), who incorporated much terracotta decoration.

Birmingham, Edgbaston is a constituency, created in 1885, in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2017 by Preet Gill MP of Labour Co-operative.The most high-profile MP for the constituency was former Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain (1937–1940), and since 1953; it has elected a succession of female MPs.

The Birmingham Youth Theatre was founded in 1971 in Birmingham, England by local teachers Derek Nicholls and Ray Speakman, and was based at the Midlands Arts Centre and Birmingham Repertory Theatre. From 1984 it was also run by teacher and director Malcolm Cleland, who also ran the Central Junior Television Workshop in Birmingham.

mac (formerly Midlands Arts Centre) is a non-profit arts centre situated in Cannon Hill Park, Edgbaston, Birmingham, England. It was established in 1962 and is registered as an educational charity which hosts plays, concerts and films shows, and holds art exhibitions, music classes, and workshops for all ages.

Edgbaston ward is a local government district, one of 40 wards that make up Birmingham City Council. Edgbaston lies to the south west of Birmingham city centre and is home to the University of Birmingham and the Queen Elizabeth hospital. The ward population at the 2011 census was 24,426.

Pebble Mill Studios was a television studio complex owned by the BBC located in Edgbaston, Birmingham, England. The nine acre site was opened by Princess Anne on 10 November 1971, and in addition to the studios contained two canteens, a post office, gardens, a seven-storey office block, and an Outside Broadcasting (OB) base.
