Cetinje (Montenegrin Cyrillic: Цетиње [pronounced [ t͡sětiɲe]]), is a city and Old Royal Capital (Montenegrin: Prijestonica / Приjестоница) of Montenegro. It is also the historic and the secondary capital of Montenegro, where the official residence of the President of Montenegro is located. According to the 2011 census, the town had a population of 14,093 while the Cetinje municipality had 16,657 residents as of 2011.

Italian governorate of Montenegro

The Italian governorate of Montenegro (Italian: Governatorato del Montenegro) existed from October 1941 to September 1943 as an occupied territory under military government of Fascist Italy during World War II. Although the Italians had intended to establish a quasi-independent Montenegrin kingdom, these plans were permanently shelved after a popular uprising in July 1941.

The Cetinje Monastery (Serbian: Цетињски манастир / Cetinjski manastir) is a Christian monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro. It is located in Cetinje and is the seat of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro. A center of historical and cultural importance, it was founded c. 1484 by Prince Ivan Crnojević of Zeta, and designated as the cathedral monastery of the Eparchy of Zeta.

King Nikola's Palace

King Nikola's Palace is located in Cetinje, Montenegro, and for more than 50 years served as the seat of the Montenegrin Royal family. In 1926 it became a museum, from 1980 it was one of the departments of National Museum of Montenegro.The small palace was built from 1863 to 1867 in a simple style typical of Cetinje houses with certain elements of neoclassicism.

Blue Palace

The Blue Palace or Plavi Dvorac was built as the heir's palace in Cetinje, the Royal Capital of Montenegro. Today it is the residence of President of Montenegro. It was built in 1894–1895 in late Empire style as the residence of Crown Prince Danilo of Montenegro, then heir-apparent to the throne. The building was a model for the construction of the buildings of the other members of the Petrović Njegoš royal family throughout Montenegro.
