The trail is extremely popular with locals. Parking is limited, and the lower neighborhood streets serve as parking overflow. The neighborhood occupants don’t like the trash, and disturbance visitors leave. This trail has a beautiful view from the ten minute mark, until you get to the top. Sunsets are particularly extravagant. The odds of seeing wildlife are high. Wild turkey, coyotes, deer, various hawk varieties, hang gliders, and people of every walk of life. In the vernacular of my young adult life, “it’s a trip”. I love it. It is partially responsible for my physical transformation this last year-and-a-half. Despite the aerobic difficulty, I expect to return often. I hope to see you there. Bring plenty of water, bring a small back pack with jacket and gloves inside, and on hot days, please leave your dog home. Many dogs have expired on this hill due to heatstroke.
