Completely paved. In good weather, especially spring and summer, the flat part of the trail can be overrun with kids on bikes.
Very pleasant, with a GREAT view of Puget Sound south of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
Can be anywhere up to 4 miles if you do the downhill (and back up!) by the Environmental Services Building.
