Part of the flood control system, this trail starts out in a path thru the woods that is set up for snowmobiling in the winter. After half a mile of small hills the pine needle path turns to ferns as the water gets closer. Tall pines line the path and several small varieties of fungi can be found among them. There were ducks in the water when we passed by on the path. A quiet walk through the woods makes this a great hike to enjoy in all the four seasons
