Axl started out quite interested in his surroundings. He marked bushes every few paces. And he dropped a big poop before we had passed the tract homes. He led the way, weaving around to inspect everything and focused on the other dogs along the way. About 2 miles in on the East Ridge View trail, he dropped behind, slowing down. The route was planned to go around the reservoir but that was changed to head back before he wore out. He recognized we were on the return route. He started to lead forward. And he finished just fine.
