Founded by Thelma and Charles Mercer and preserved as a Harris County Park in 1974, Mercer Arboretum & Botanic Gardens is a tranquil 393-acre oasis nestled in the bustling city of Humble. This serene space is divided by Aldine Westfield Road, with the east side showcasing 60 acres of themed gardens and a diverse array of plants, including color displays, daylilies, endangered species, ferns, gingers, herbs, tropicals, and more.
The west side Arboretum features miles of scenic trails, the Jake Roberts Maple Collection, and natural formations like the Bald Cypress Swamp, Oxbow, and Hickory Bog.
