Sentiero del fiume dell'Alto Monte

This is a lovely walk but not for the faint hearted there is approximately 170 metres of elevation walking up some challenging hills. But very good for your heart rate. Lots of seats along the way if you need to stop. It’s a little easier if you walk it clockwise from the heritage golf entrance side. Starts with a 350 metre 67 m of elevation to get to the start point really, but the views across the valley are lovely and the sun hits the track in most areas from about 11 to 2 before shadows can cool you down. I’m 66 years old and for me it’s a great way to get my heart rate up. And the cool down walk down to the car at the end is a welcome relief. Weekend walks are busy, but best time is about 9:00 am.
