A lovely walk, very popular with locals. It is possible to take a pram around here, although you should be aware that the paths are uneven, rocky and often muddy- they aren't tarmac and would be more suitable for a pram with heavy duty wheels from my personal experience. Unfortunately, the park isn't as well looked after as it used to be. Many of the benches are covered/surrounded by overgrown shrubbery. The footpaths are almost overgrown too, with stinging nettles so be mindful of this, especially with young children. I wouldn't recommend this place for wheelchair users, as it is not safe. Great for dogs & there is a fishing lodge alongside the reservoir. Lots of coverage from rain or sun, under the trees. If it is wet, the pathways become extremely muddy, slippery & large puddles on areas, so I would recommend adequate footwear. There is a Cafe located near the car park & toilets too. The Cafe offers food, snacks & hot beverages, with the option for dairy alternative milk. There are benches outside the Cafe and the views would be gorgeous, once the trees have been cut back from masking the wonderful view of the reservoir. Leading from the car park, away from the Cafe, is a steep slope with tree roots jutting out in the ground, and steps with no handrail. This path can become very slippery so caution should be taken. There is a bridge over the reservoir, towards Ousel Nest and will take you to Grange Road. If you take a left before the bridge, it will take you along the river towards Upper Bradshaw Trail. This path will take you past the Bradshaw Angling Cafe & out to Bradshaw Hall, or even further on to Bradshaw Cricket Club & behind The Crofters Inn. These pathways can get extremely muddy, slippery & waterlogged.
