Zona Cotroceni

Very close to the city center, this area can be easily reached through public transport (metro and buses). Get down at the Eroilor Station (University Hospital) and walk. It’s a good idea to visit the University of Medicine& Pharmacy Carol Davila, with a small park and a small orthodox wooden church nearby. A must see place is the big and pretty church St. Elefterie. Cotroceni is not a very large area and it has a small park (Romniceanu Park) and a few restaurants and cafes. There are many streets shadowed by old trees and a lot of buildings with interesting and varied architectural styles, many of them built by famous architects, long time ago. So, you have the opportunity to go back in time. A pleasant walk through one of the nicest neighborhoods in Bucharest.
