Bastogne - Battaglia del rigonfiamento, Mardasson Memorial

During December 1944, the Germans did a counter attack trying to take back the seaport of Antwerp. They were stopped at Bastogne by the Americans. The temperature dropped to about -25 degrees celsius during that month. About 80,000 American soldiers died during this battle. The Mardasson Memorial is dedicated to them. Trail passing through villages which were part of the battle.
